First RTA Amateur Tour. First Wild Card. First statement.

The 2026 season kicked off with a proper spark in Vienna as the first-ever RTA Amateur Tour event set the tone for what’s coming next.

Twelve hungry players stepped onto the five courts of RacketRevolution in Wiener Neustadt, all chasing one thing only:
the first RTA Wild Card in history.

Men’s Singles. Fast rallies. Long points. Fair play from first serve to match point. Exactly how an RTA debut should feel.

Results

A big thank you to Stefan Grubmüller for running the tournament and to Thomas for providing the perfect stage for this milestone event.

To all players: thank you for your RTA debut, the sportsmanship, and the competitive spirit. We’re confident this won’t be the last time we see you on an RTA court.

What many didn’t know yet

The RTA Amateur Tour now has its own ranking system:

  • 52-week rankings
  • Categories: U19, 50+, and Open Age

Which means:
These players are already officially listed in the Open Age RTA Ranking. The journey has started.

What a start into the 2026 season.
And this was just the first serve.
