How the RTA Pickleball Pro Tour works
In the RTA Pickleball Tour, players can participate in all tournaments.
- But they can only collect ranking points from tournaments worth up to 8500 ranking points in total during the season (plus the RTA Finals)
- This means players must strategize which tournaments to focus on for their best results
Applying the 8500 tournament point contingent
Since only points from tournaments worth a max of 8500 points can count toward a player’s ranking (Road-To-Arlberg ranking):
- a player’s best results are used first to reach the maximum
- points from the player’s lowest-scoring tournaments are excluded, based on a max total of 8500 tournament points
Key takeaways for players
- you can play as many tournaments as you want
- but only points from your best-performing tournaments will count toward the maximum, taking a max of 8500 tournament points into consideration
- prioritize performing well in higher category tournaments (2000 or 1000) as these yield more points
- strategize your tournament participation to maximize your chances of reaching the RTA Finals – Arlberg Pickleball Championship!
