Participation in an RTA1000 tournament follows a strict and transparent entry order, as defined in the RTA Competition Regulations. Because these events are played on only five courts, the number of entry spots and seeded positions is limited.
The RTA 52-Week Points are the primary factor for acceptance into an RTA1000 draw. Players and teams with higher 52-week points in the respective division are admitted first.
If you currently have few or no RTA 52-Week Points, the best way to earn points and improve your entry priority is to compete in RTA500 tournaments. These events give you a chance to build your ranking and move up the entry list.
In addition, each RTA1000 event is preceded by an Amateur Tournament, where players can compete for a Wildcard. The winner of this amateur competition receives one guaranteed Wildcard spot for the RTA1000 tournament at the same location — an alternative pathway to enter the main draw even without ranking points.
For the detailed entry order, seeding rules, and all tie-break procedures, please refer to the RTA Competition Regulations.
