The RTA Pickleball Tour keeps growing. More tournaments, more players, more formats and with that, naturally, more questions.
To make life easier for everyone, we have just published a new, fully updated FAQ page covering the most important topics around registration, rankings, tournament entries, Amateur events, Clinics and the season highlight in Arlberg.
Clear answers. One place. No guesswork.
What’s new in the FAQs?
The new FAQ page was designed to reflect how the RTA Tour actually works today, not how it worked a few years ago.
You’ll now find clear guidance on:
Player profiles & registration
What information must be completed in your profile to register successfully and to appear correctly in the rankings, including:
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Country
- a successful DUPR connection
Missing data is one of the most common reasons for registration issues and the FAQs explain exactly how to avoid that.
RTA500, RTA1000 & RTA2000 explained
Not all RTA tournaments are the same and the FAQs break down the differences clearly:
- draw sizes
- entry rules
- use of the RTA 52-week ranking
- why higher-category events have stricter entry requirements
This helps players understand where they stand and which events best match their current level.
A stronger focus on Amateur players
Pickleball doesn’t grow without Amateurs and the new FAQ page reflects that.
There is now a dedicated Amateur FAQ section explaining:
- who can play Amateur tournaments at RTA events
- how wild cards work
- what formats to expect, including Team events
- how Clinics fit into the tournament week
And for the first time, we officially introduce what many players have been asking for:
An overall Amateur Ranking, launching with:
- Open Age
- 50+
The goal is to reward consistent participation, support fairer seedings and give Amateur players long-term motivation across the season. Details on eligible events and points allocation will follow.
Arlberg: more than just the Finals
The FAQs also shine a light on the Arlberg Pickleball Championship, the season-ending highlight of the tour.
Beyond the invite-only Pro Finals, Arlberg includes:
- an Amateur Team Event
- Clinics for all levels
- a full pickleball week combining competition, learning and community
It’s not just a tournament, it’s a pickleball experience.
One page, all the answers
The new FAQ page is meant to:
- reduce uncertainty
- set clear expectations
- help players plan their season with confidence
Whether you’re a first-time Amateur, a regular RTA competitor or aiming for the European Finals, this page is your starting point.
Check out the new FAQ page now and get ready for the next RTA events.
